This is a H.P. Lovecraft tale. This is a flick that boarders between sci-fi and horror, leaning more towards the horror end of the spectrum. Crawford Tillinghast (Jeffrey Combs) is working
as an assistant to Dr. Edward Pretorius (Ted Sorel) who is working on a Resonator. This Resonator stimulated the pineal gland and allows anyone in its field to see with a sort of sixth
sense. But the experiment goes wrong and Dr. Pretorius is destroyed by his need to know and see more. Suspected in Dr. Pretorius' death and thought to be insane Tillinghast is taken to
a mental hospital were Dr. Katherine McMichales (Barbara Crampton) has him put into her custody so that they recreate Dr. Pretorius' experiment. With Bubba Brown (Ken Force from
Day of the Dead) as their body guard they return to the house to continue the experiment, probably not the best idea. The Resonator comes alive and starts to change and take over
everyone in its path. This one is definitely worth the price of admission for any seasoned horror fan.
